Google has agreed to invest $2 billion in Anthropic, an AI startup co-founded by ex-OpenAI executives. Anthropic, known for its Claude 2 chatbot that competes with OpenAI's ChatGPT, was previously valued at $4.1 billion. The company also secured a multiyear deal with Google Cloud worth over $3 billion. This investment follows Google's earlier $500M commitment to Anthropic.
OpenAI's ChatGPT Plus has introduced new beta features allowing subscribers to upload various files, including images and PDFs, for analysis. ChatGPT can now extract summaries, create visualizations, and manipulate images. Also, the chatbot intuitively switches between tools like Browsing, Advanced Data Analysis, and DALL-E based on context for an improved user experience.
