Hey everyone,

Today we’re talking Google's SGE getting generative AI features, OpenAI's record $1.3B in revenue, and the bipartisan 'No Fakes Act' aimed to protect celebrities from AI replicas.

Let’s get started.

⭐ FEATURED

Google’s AI-Powered Search Experience Can Now Generate Images And Write Drafts. Google's SGE now offers enhanced generative AI capabilities. Users can generate images from specific prompts and fine-tune them in chat mode. For added inspiration, Google Images may suggest AI-generated visuals. The upcoming "About this image" tool will label AI-created images. Additionally, SGE assists in drafting content, like notes, which can be exported to Google Docs or Gmail.

OpenAI’s Revenue Crossed $1.3 Billion Annualized Rate. CEO Sam Altman told staff that OpenAI's annualized revenue soared to $1.3 billion, a 30% increase since just this summer. The growth is attributed to ChatGPT Plus, its paid version launched earlier this year, a stark contrast to last year's $28 million revenue.

No Fakes Act Wants To Protect Actors And Singers From Unauthorized AI Replicas. The bipartisan "No Fakes Act" aims to federally standardize protection against unauthorized AI replicas of performers’ faces and voices. It prevents digital replicas without consent, with exceptions for news and documentaries. Rights last 70 years posthumously. The act addresses concerns raised by AI tools mimicking celebrities.
